Newburgh Armory Unity Center

The Newburgh Armory Unity Center (NAUC), located at 321 South William Street in the City of Newburgh, is a not-for-profit organization where youth from the City of Newburgh can come together and experience important lessons that will help them to grow into responsible and productive adults and citizens.

ACCESS Supports for Living/Healthy Families

Expectancy supports and referrals, baby development and growth, care services for baby, parenting skills, focusing on goals (education, work). Home guidance, monthly support groups and services for English and Spanish speaking families.

Maternal Infant Services Network (MISN)

Perinatal and women’s health and wellness programs. New Parent U for essential prenatal, postpartum and breastfeeding support programs. Health insurance navigator program and participation in community health and wellness coalitions.

Orange County Department of Health/ Early Intervention Services

The mission of the Orange County Health Department is to monitor, protect, and promote public health. The Intervention Services Division provided services for developmentally delayed and physically handicapped children from birth through age 5.

Child Care Council of Orange County, Inc.

As a child care resource and referral agency, the Council is a partner in state and national activities and a leader in local initiative to bring about accessible, affordable, quality Child Care and Early Learning Services.

Cornell University Cooperative Extension Orange County

Provision of parenting and family life resources (Value in Parenting newsletter, parenting and family life workshops, Relatives as Parents Program, Mindful Living, lending library).

Cornerstone Family Healthcare

Cornerstone Family Healthcare is committed to improving the health status and wellness of the communities we serve. Our outreach program promotes healthy living by raising awareness about accessible preventative and wellness programs, which the Health Center offers at little or no cost to the community. We also work in partnership with community groups and organizations, local schools, senior centers, and assisted living facilities to educate the community about the Health Center’s services.

Newburgh Free Library

The library’s goals are to provide substantial print resources and online services to make the library a globally relevant information center for the community.

NECSD Universal Pre-K

The District offers a high-quality grant-funded full-day Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program. The program is offered at no cost to parents.

Newburgh Children’s Center

Focused on helping children learn while providing parents with information which strengthens their ability to raise healthy productive children.

Orange County Youth Bureau

Promoting positive youth development through county-wide integrated planning, funding, monitoring, coordinating and developing youth and family services programs for Orange County youth aged 0 – 21 years.

Barnes & Noble Newburgh

Purveyor of books, educational toys and games, tech tools, music, movies, gifts, café and trend items in the Hudson Valley.

Best Resource Center

Adult and continuing education center (workforce development skills, HSE services, ESL classes).

Safe Harbors

Safe Harbors of the Hudson is a mixed-use, non-profit housing and arts redevelopment project. The project began in 2002 with the purchase of the Hotel Newburgh, a once proud destination, which had deteriorated over the years. Safe Harbors purchased the hotel in 2002 and in 2004 was awarded $21 million in state, county and federal funds to create a vibrant affordable, supportive housing complex.

Head Start of Eastern Orange Couty

Head Start is a Federal program for preschool children from low-income families. The Head Start program is operated by local non-profit organizations in almost every county in the country. Children who attend Head Start participate in a variety of educational activities. They also receive free medical and dental care, have healthy meals and snacks, and enjoy playing indoors and outdoors in a safe setting.

Mount Saint Mary’s College

Mount Saint Mary College is a private, co-educational, four-year liberal arts college, located in Newburgh in the mid-Hudson Valley region of New York State. It was founded in 1960 by the Dominican Sisters.

Horizon on the Hudson Parent Teacher Organization

The HOH PTO is a parent-teacher association/organization or parent-teacher-student association is a formal organization composed of parents, teachers and staff that is intended to facilitate parental participation in a school.

Little Harvard

Little Harvard is committed to meeting the diverse needs of our families and children, while providing the highest quality of education. The basic philosophy of the school is that children, at the earliest ages are learning everyday through outside stimulus and role models.

Mid-Hudson Regional Early Childhood Direction Center

The Mid-Hudson Regional Early Childhood Direction Center supports families, professionals, and community agencies concerned with children birth to five with suspected or diagnosed learning delays or disabilities in Dutchess, Orange, Sullivan and Ulster Counties.

Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Kaplan Birthing Center

Bringing a child into this world can be one of the most fulfilling and exciting times in your life — and at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall we want to make sure that you have a warm, safe, caring environment for the birth of your baby. Our beautiful, state-of-the-art Birthing Center is designed to meet the physical and emotional needs of mothers, mothers-to-be and their birthing partners as they embark on this exciting journey. Our recently renovated, state-of-the-art Kaplan Family Birthing Center features newly renovated labor and delivery rooms with private bathroom and shower, and private and semi-private recovery rooms.
